Make your own cheese
Have you always wanted to make your own cheese?* Now you can. As a customer, you have the opportunity to take a look inside the cheese factory. Dutch Masters And make your own cheese. You determine the recipe yourself. You choose the type of milk, the preparation method, and the shape of the cheese.
Location: Streefkerk, in the cheese factory of Dutch Masters.
When: Preferably on a Monday.
Recipe: You determine the recipe yourself. You can choose from the following options.
- Type of milk: cow's milk, sheep's milk, goat's milk or a combination of these.
- Preparation method: raw milk, thermized or pasteurized.
- Recipe: natural, with herbs or a combination of these.
- Crust: coating or natural crust.
- Model: 5kg, 8kg or 12kg
Production & maturation: At least 3.000 liters of milk are processed each time, resulting in approximately 350 kg of cheese (depending on the type of milk). A combination of natural and herbal cheeses is possible. The cheeses with coatings and natural rinds are matured in the Remijn Cheese Trade warehouse.
Number of people: You can make cheese with a group of up to 5 people. It's also a great company outing.
