Mountain cheese from the Netherlands

Grebbeberger is a new concept introduced in 2024. The name comes from one of the few mountains in the Netherlands. You guessed it, the Grebbeberg! This mountain cheese is made in our cheese factory in Streefkerk. They are the only "mountain cheeses" in the Netherlands.

Types of Dutch mountain cheese

Grebbeberger Koe au Suisse

This unique cheese is made in the Netherlands from the milk of cows grazing around the Grebbeberg. The cheese is then aged for over eight months in an Appenzeller maturing cellar owned by a Swiss affineur. This gives the cheese a unique, fragrant aroma.

Grebbeberger Goat in Switzerland

The "goat version" of Grebbeberger is made in the same way. However, the goats graze at the foot of the Grebbeberg!

Grebbeberger Triple Greb

This is a beautiful cheese with a striking appearance, featuring a hole in the center. This allows the cheese to ripen both from the outside in and from the inside out. Besides its distinctive shape, this cheese is made from cow's, goat's, and sheep's milk, and immediately after its introduction, it was awarded Best Novelty in Cheese at the Food Specialties Trade Fair in Houten (2024)!
