Slob family
Masters in herb cheese
In the Giessenburg polder, the Slob brothers make the most delicious cheese. They are the fourth generation of cheesemakers, established in 1983. Their specialty is making various herb cheeses.
The farm in Giessenburg
In 1984, Cees Slob began producing cheese and dairy products at the original location. This proved so successful that the company moved to a brand new location in Giessenburg in 2012. Years later, his nephews Wouter and Gerrit also joined the cheesemaking business.
All the farm's milk is used in the on-site cheese dairy. Besides the buttery-soft herb cheeses, the Slob family also makes special seasonal cheeses and sublime specialties. All are exceptionally creamy, flavorful cheeses beloved by many cheese lovers.
Our collaboration
Kees Remijn explains: "It all started with Cees's neighbor, who sold me over 20 cheeses. When he couldn't deliver consistent quality, he referred me to Cees Slob. He was located a kilometer away." Since then, "Boer Slob's Cheese" has become a well-known brand in the cheese world.
