At CONO Cheesemakers, on a shelf in a forgotten corner, the idea for "Stompetoren" had been waiting for a new lease on life for some time. The bankruptcy of the previous owner seemed to have left the brand in the shadows for good.

That changed when Kees Remijn was looking for a suitable label for the cheeses. A salesperson at CONO Cheesemakers remembered the Stompetoren label, went into the warehouse, and pulled it out. He said something that has always stuck with Kees: “The brand is doing its job.”

A powerful name, indeed, but a name alone isn't enough. Stompetoren's success is the culmination of a strong brand and years of hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication. Today, we've been carrying the Stompetoren brand for over 30 years. "There's not a single cheesemonger who can say they've never had a demand for Stompetoren cheese," says Kees. In collaboration with Gastrovino, we've done everything we can to bring the brand out of the shadows and introduce it to a wide audience—and with success!
