This cheese is aged naturally for seven months. It has a creamy, spicy flavor, and with a bit of luck, you might even find some small crystals.
Stompetoren cheese takes its name from the village of Stompetoren in North Holland. Our cows graze in this region, and the cheese is made at the CONO cheese factory in Westbeemster. This factory, known as the greenest in the world, combines traditional craftsmanship with modern, innovative techniques.
Stompetoren cheese matures in the unique ripening warehouse of Kaashandel Remijn. This family business has built an excellent reputation over the years as a specialist in ripening Dutch cheeses. Thanks to the specific combination of temperature and humidity in the warehouse, the cheese has ample opportunity to develop its full flavor. And you can taste that in every bite!
