The Noordam family wins Cum Laude Awards 2026

Noordam family has proudly accepted the golden milk can during the annual Cum Laude Awards. They also managed to win this prize in 2024. In 2025, they had to relinquish the well-known golden milk can to family of Dieijen, also a cheesemaker at Kaashandel Remijn.

“The fact that this award is being presented to 'our farmers' is a confirmation of the quality of our cheeses,” said Peter Verweij. “It took us years to 'gather' the farmers we now work with and to find the best cheeses (and therefore cheesemakers). We are very proud of the Noordam family, congratulations!”

What are the Cum Laude Awards?

Once a year, professional judges select the best cheese, soft cheeses, and dairy products made on the farm. The Cum Laude Awards is an initiative of the Association of Farm Dairy Producers (BBZ). During the ceremony, prizes can be won in various categories. The winner with the most points in a category receives a Platinum Medal. From these winners, a jury selects the very best product in the 'cheese' and 'dairy' categories. They receive the Golden Milk Can with the big ears.
